Unique views on your stories are recorded once every 7 days (7-day attribution window) when a user views a story in an auto-play or click-to-play template.

For example: if a user A views your story on Day 1 and then returns to view the same or any other story on Day 3 and Day 5, 3 views will be recorded and shown on your Smart Stories dashboard for user A but only 1 unique view. This is because the same user has seen your stories multiple times within a period of 7 days.

​Only after 7 days the first story view is the user considered a new user and an additional unique view is recorded again.
