Please note that your widget selection will be automatically added to all stories and tabs in the case of an Instant story. You will have to add them story by story (all tabs within a given story will have the same widget) in the case of a custom story.
Log in to your Smart Stories dashboard.
Locate the group of stories you want to add a widget to and click on the group to open it.
Click on "Edit Story" on the top right of your screen.
Click on "Add New Widget" and select your widget type.
Pick and customize the widget of your choice then make sure to click on "Save" to validate your choice.
